Sebastian likes coming out into the aviary on his own now. He gets a little stroppy when you try to get him away from the other birds and tries to take charge - In fact so does Sabrina - so its probably nothing to do with being brought up by foster parents.
Sabrina prefers to stay in the nest box when not in school.
Sebastian is flying well now and, as long as the other birds keep out of his way, can manage a circuit around the bird room without too much bother. Sabrina can probably fly but doesn’t want to. I think she’s waiting to make a big first flight.
Sebastian and Sabrina now spend most of their time in the main aviary. They rarely go back into the nest boxes and prefer to badger their parents for food.
In this last week Sabrina has taken to the skies and been brought back down with a wing clipping!
Both of these birds have the same temperament and try to boss everyone around. They let you know what they like and of course what they dont.
They have both got all of their feathers through now and bar for a short tail look just like the adult birds.
Sebastian and Sabrina are now looking like adult birds.
Their flying skills are improving as they get used to working harder after their wing clipping. Not that this pair cause too much trouble in school.
These two both have similar temperaments even though they were brought up by different parents. They prefer to sit with you on your shoulder than to go through the step-up, step-up, step-up training. (Doesn’t make sense to me!).
