Pebbles now has a clutch of five eggs and so far two have hatched. Monty and Trevor, both normal pearl cockatiels like Pebbles.
Now most of the chicks have left I’ve moved Donald, Daisy, Frank and Nikitta back down into the main aviary. It took about 15 minutes to get them to fly into the bottom part as they are all so used to going into the top. None of these birds will get onto a stick either so it was a case of flying them until they got worn out or bored and decided to try going into the bottom part. They seem happy enough now but I bet I’ll have some fun for the next week or two.
I’ve decided to leave Barnaby and Buttercup together as they seem to be bonded. I’m planning on letting them have a clutch together so I’ve moved them into the top aviary. In with them I’ve left Tracy and Igor until they leave in a week or so.
See Albino for more info on my plans for breeding a Whiteface Lutino cockatiel.
