This is Eric he was our first cockatiel. We bought him from a pet shop in December 2004 and he was about 4 months old. He wasn’t tame and when we got him home he sat in the corner of the cage and hissed at us.
We eventually gained his trust and became quite friendly. We taught him to whistle Happy Birthday and he also imitated the phone and wolf whistled.
We got him a girl friend called Trixy, but it looks like Trixy is a boy. They preen each other and if one goes out of the cage they call each other.
