Nails - I’ve done these when we had Eric but found that they also tend to stay in shape if the bird is climbing around on different branches etc. When trimming their nails look for the different colour inside the nail - the same as you get in cats and dogs - if you cut this it will bleed (and hurt). With the bird sat on your finger use an emery board to file the tips of nail - some will let you and some wont. Over time the bird should get used to this and let you do their nails.
